'Return راجعين' represents the hope and unwavering determination of Palestinians to return to their rightful land, centred around the Palestinian symbol of the key.

When Palestinians were forcibly displaced during the Nakba – the ethnic cleansing of at least 750,000 people from Palestine in 1948 – they kept the keys to their homes with the belief that they would soon return. As they continued to be denied their right to return and expelled from their homes, the key turned into its own symbol of resistance. Kept and passed down through generations, the key preserves the memory of pre-1948 Palestinian villages and cities, as well as the unwavering determination of Palestinian refugees and their descendants to return to their rightful land.

'Return راجعين' pays homage to the resilience of the Palestinian people and honours the key as a symbol of hope in the ongoing genocide. Standing tall, the key becomes a mast from which the Palestinian flag can fly, raised in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Each key has its own unique patina through foil overlay, resulting in a series where no two prints are the same.
